Our AI technology connects insights about B2B customers providing valuable information to major financial institutions such as SpareBank 1, Danske Bank, and Nordea, to mention a few. Strise makes an impact by making it easier and faster for banks to fulfill their social mission of uncovering financial violations such as money laundering. After successfully becoming trusted by some of the biggest financial institutions in Scandinavia and more than tripling our revenue since the beginning of 2021, we are now planning to expand internationally moving towards our goal of becoming the leading KYC Intelligence System

We are looking for an experienced Backend Developer to join our team of highly skilled and motivated software engineers. You will be responsible for designing and implementing backend solutions bringing our pioneering KYC platform to the global market. As part of our tech team, you will work closely with our design and product team to take our products to the next level in scale, performance, and customer value. Going out of your comfort zone to explore a new idea, testing a new library, or simply giving a facelift to an old module, will all be part of your job.

This position is based in Oslo, Norway

What you will do:

• Develop and maintain backend systems using modern technologies such as Scala, GraphQL, and GCP.
  

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and QA, to ensure the delivery of high-quality software.
  

• Take a proactive approach to breaking down projects into individual tasks and provide valuable contributions so projects are delivered on time.
  

• Contribute to a knowledge-sharing environment and be part of a development team that is passionate about technology.
  

• Staying up to date with emerging technologies and best practices in backend development.
  

• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code that is optimized for performance and scalability.
  

• Contribute to the overall architecture and design of the systems, and help identify and implement best practices for software development.

To succeed in this role, we believe you need:

• 3+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on backend technologies.
  

• Excellent skills and a few years of experience within one or more of the following technologies: Scala, GraphQL, Neo4j, Elasticsearch, Apache Spark, Docker & Kubernetes, Google Cloud Platform.
  

• You are passionate about technology and enjoy learning and sharing about emerging technologies and tools.
  

• You enjoy working with an evolving product in a scale-up environment and are motivated by testing out new ideas and finding new solutions. Experience from a start-up/scale-up is a plus.
  

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  

• Education in computer science, computer technology, or another relevant field is desirable.
